The village of Kuzmica is located on the road between Pleternica and Požega. Next to the baroque church that dominates this village is an old building that we call the Kušević castle. It once belonged to the Blacko family, whose owners were the Ohmučević-Grgurić family, originally from Dubrovnik, and then in 1767 it was bought by the notary of the Požega County, Ljudevit pl. Hranilović. This manor remained in his family until the middle of the 19th century when it was bought by Svetozar pl. Kušević, and in 1945 this property was appropriated by the state.
