Cornelius Vanderbilt was once the richest man in the world and he is buried in Staten Island. His mausoleum is in the middle of the woods. To go to it, enter the woods from Nevada Avenue, park at the end of the block. Walk into the woods and proceed to walk right. Don’t walk too far make a left onto the dirt trail, and take the dirt trail till you get to the first part of the fence. Walk along the left side of the fence and follow along until you get to the hole. When you get to the whole walk through the hole, and follow along the opposite side of the fence until you hit the path. When you get to the path walk down, you will see the Sloan mausoleum as well, and at the end after walking, you should see the Vanderbilt. Do not try to enter, there is no entry. It is also disrespectful to try to enter a resting place.
