This bunker was first used in WW1 by the French and then in WW2 until it was occupied by the Germans to defend their ports in occupied France. This bunker has a few levels, the sub terrain tunnel which is where the ammunition and soldiers would stay ( i explored this part). In the middle of the tunnels is an old rusty ladder and abandoned lift for the shells. I didnt want to take my chances so i wasnt able to go up the ladder. From what i have heard it leads to a series of interconnected artillery placements ( 4 of them) or more we have no clue where the ladder leads but we’re planning to go next year. To access it, you have to go through a restricted zone on the Island of Porquerolles and go up the hill on the island. Besides that you’re good.
